Johns River Valley Camp

Join us at Johns River Valley Camp for a meaningful experience of connection, reflection, visioning, and community-building. We’ll work with you to design a retreat or special event uniquely tailored to meet the needs and goals of your group.

We are an outdoor ministry facility located about 18 miles west of Lenoir, NC, and operated by a Board of Trustees for the Southern Conference of the United Church of Christ. JRVC comprises approximately 280 acres of forest in a valley defined by the Johns River. It includes a one mile section of river, and is bordered on two sides by Pisgah National Forest Land.

Our lodging options range from rustic cabins to modern dorm-style accommodations. Meals are lovingly prepared in our dining hall by dedicated chefs. Retreat meeting spaces are equipped with air conditioning, comfortable seating, wireless internet, and projectors—so your group can focus fully on connection and renewal.
