Big Elk Creek Camp

In operation since 1955, our mountain wilderness campground encompasses 8 acres of fields, streams, and woodlands within the Grand Targhee National Forest. Our Lodge and cabin facilities are nuzzled among wild rose, blossoming prairie flowers and herbs, towering Douglas fir, Aspen and Cottonwood trees, all combining to create a rustic atmosphere—ideal for any mountain getaway!

Our cozy log-home style cabins sleep up to 12 persons. Each cabin is winterized and furnished with bunk beds. The Bathhouse utilizes mountain spring water, and provides heated showers, sinks, and toilet facilities. Our Lodge can seat over 120 people and features a large fireplace, spacious picture windows, and adjacent kitchen, bathrooms, and loft.
